Microsoft Windows Vista and other January 2007 events

Windows Vista, an operating system created by Microsoft was released worldwide to the general public on January 30, 2007. The work on Windows Vista began in 2001, prior to the release of Windows XP and was originally expected some time in the late months of 2003 as a minor step between Windows XP and Windows 7. However, Windows Vista assimilated many of the important new features and technologies slated for Windows 7 and that pushed back the release date of Windows Visat for several times until it was finally announced on November 8, 2006.
